Colleague’s response to Week 6 discussion on StrengthFinder assessment
Thank you, Catherine, for sharing the StrengthFinder Assessment results. A leader is the central member of a team, and a team is more productive with a leader who detects shared and individual abilities and skills (Dino Etal., 2020). Based on the StrengthFinder Assessment report, Learner, Intellection, Harmony, Input, and Restorative themes are the strongest.
According to CliftonStrength (2020), a learner with the vigor to learn on the go is a leader’s requirement, which aids to be up to date on the latest technological advancements and cutting-edge developments in the healthcare world. Challenging the desire to continue the path of education will help discover ways to prevent knowledge plateau. CliftonStrength also mentions that though a learner is a strategic thinking theme, the tendency to impose learning on others may inhibit results and productivity. Leaders are defined by the questions they ask, and applying the learner theme aids in building societies that serve for a positive change (Antonacopoulou & Bento, 2018)
The second strength mentioned in the discussion post is harmony. According to Gallup Access (2020), individuals with harmony own conflict resolution ability by reconciliation and tolerance. They build relationships on peace by finding common ground, an area where all the team members can agree. Leaders with this strength understand how to unify everyone by understanding that collaborative work is productive and effective. Coworker conflicts negatively impact an organization, and leaders may need to mediate to help the team understand that coexistence and harmony lead to group success (Liu Et al., 2018). Hence, leaders with a focus on harmony can help the team succeed together.
