All assignments must be submitted as word documents (not PDF, pages, etc.), must be submitted in their respective folder on Moodle, and must be in 12-pt font.

This assignment requires you to take a screenshot to demonstrate completion of a task. If you have not done this before, simply google “screenshot on a PC/mac” (depending on your computer). Screenshots must be included directly in the word document; emailed screenshots will not be accepted. Additionally, not knowing how to take a screenshot is not a valid excuse for a late submission.

For this assignment, you will take a personality inventory, review the results, and discuss how you would address the reliability and validity of each inventory. This assignment will be graded on a 10-point scale (see details below).

Instructions:

Go to: http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/j/5/j5j/IPIP/ipipneo120.htmComplete the personality inventory (this should take about 10-20 minutes) and save the report of your personality, and take a screenshot showing you completed the survey.

Read the report. Pick one dimension (this can be either personality factors aka the big five, or lower order facets) of your personality that you think the assessment was most accurate and pick one dimension that you think the assessment was least accurate. Explain, in 2-3 sentences each, your response. (3 points)

A good measure needs to have good reliability. Pick two methods of estimating reliability that we discussed in class and discuss how you would go about testing each type of reliability of this personality inventory. (3 points)

A good measure should have validity. Pick two methods of estimating validity that we discussed in class and discuss how you would go about testing each type of validity of this personality inventory. (3 points)

Make sure to attach the completed homework assignment AND a screenshot showing you completed the personality report on Moodle. The screenshot should be embedded into your word document with the homework assignment (and NOT a separate file) (1 point)
