Humanities and Medicine
Humanities would make an invaluable contribution the medicine. Medicine is associated with the left part of the brain while the humanities in the left are associated with imagery, poems, and art. Doctors should start to visualize images of the human body especially with the advent of medical technology that involves the use of 3D imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Patients should not just be some objects, and incorporating the right side of the brain in training of doctors present the picture that patients are human beings. With this in mind, the doctor can do a better job and patients become happier. Incorporating the right side of the brain also makes the training process in medical school more exciting and fun, moving away from the notion that medical school is all about the books. It should also be about art.
