Fast foods are the leading causation agent of obesity among consumers. In this case, the fast foods make people to have too much fat in their bodies. The fats come from calories and the sugars obtained from fast foods. The consumers become obese if they fail to exercise and do physical activities. With time, higher consumption of the fast foods leads to diabetes- type 2 diabetes.

Fast foods have been established to cause heart diseases. According to scientists, consumption of the fast foods more than four times in a week increases possibility of death from heart disease by 80%. The fats in the foods clog the human arteries and increased cholesterol levels. Over time, other than the cardiovascular disease, the consumers are likely to suffer from cancer and other liver diseases because of the fat clogging the blood system.

Fast foods also affect our social problems. The consumers get addicted. This leads to wastage of money. Most people who are addicted to fast foods spend a lot of money on the meals as compared to other meals. The foods can be easily obtained and accessed outside the normal eating hours. This increases chance of having the meals even thrice a day unlike home foods that are taken at designated times. Further, the foods may lead to malnutrition as they do not have the essential nutrients.

Finally, fast foods cause a lot of stress. The major health complications and addictions cause a lot of stress to the people. Children who are obese are always socially stigmatized and ridiculed by their colleagues. Further some meals with caffeine such as coffee and colas are stimulants and if consumed in large quantities may cause stress. Coupled with the related lifestyle diseases that require treatment and therapies, the patients always suffer from psychological torture and regrets.
